8. Not to diminish the impact

of shootings in the USA, I want to suggest that some 20 armed men intentionally targeting members of other religions than their own is something that doesn't yet happen in the USA. I hope it never gets to that. These murderers are shooting innocent people because they were reared with the "wrong" ideology. I am not religious, but I see that as more heinous than a confused or psychotic or schizophrenic person acting out in public. This could be, sadly, the start of a new tactic in the war of terrorists/state terror. The idea is to damage economic activity and thereby weaken the society that relies on commerce as culture, namely, the West. The terrorists are currently winning the struggle because the West has essentially abandoned any pretence of democracy, has scaled back civil liberties and indiscriminately spies on everyone for no good reason. If the armed men can disrupt the shopping activity of Western consumers, they will have knocked another hole in our wall and before long the breach may be so large that we cannot close it. I hope I am no Cassandra.
