In reply to the discussion: Warning graphic content: Deadly drug that rots flesh of users arrives in Arizona [View all]freshwest
(53,661 posts)26. I looked at the pictures and kept thinking of that paperclip bubble:

So, it appears you want to kill yourself.
But all I can really think of how a person is reduced to the state of being in which they do this to themselves.
I've known people who are chain smoking, which is lighting one cigarette from the fire of the one just consumed. But it's a slow death, like many others.
The reaction that occurs seems disconnected from the here and now, with no context, no sense of time or any other factor.
I can only imagine that the state of mind of a human being that would take this drug, is one that has simply unable to enjoy life at all.
And death doesn't matter to them, as they have no future or past, only the now taking the drug. All that matters is whatever they seek with the drug.
Which they never find, because it is not what they are really searching for, so they must keep going.
Although their brain tells them they are escaping. It's illusion, a trick, and their lives go up in smoke.
The human race has deep wounds that may not be able to heal. A depressing thought, indeed.
We seem to be in a state of mindlessness, some of us, and it is not nirvana. At least not in my opinion, when there are so many good things to enjoy, if one feels free to choose them.

OP
Someone stuck deep in drug addiction isn't going to be in a rational place. (nt)

This is bathtub desomorphine cooked up by junkies. It's the impurities, not the drug itself.

Yes addicts live only 2 to 3 years on average when using this horrid stuff.

With a potency 8-10 times that of heroin, the preservation instict might be completely overwhelmed.
