30. Why are we focusing on Cruz? Cruz is nothing but a shiny object.

Much as I dislike him, Cruz didn't shut down the government. Cruz isn't even in the House, he is a Senator. (I hated to put a capital S on Senator)

The tea party didn't shut down the government.

The Republicans shut down the government. If the poor Republicans hadn't wanted to shut down the government, it wouldn't be shut down right now.

Please don't fall for the "the tea party (or Cruz) did it, what are we poor Republicans supposed to do?" trick.

The tea party is only a distraction, always has been, and they are only pushing the Republican agenda. The tea party didn't bring up a kill Obamacare vote 42 times, the Republicans did. The tea party doesn't want lower taxes, the Republicans do. Etc., etc., etc.
