"Just when you thought that Senator Gridlock Mitch McConnell’s Washington dysfunction couldn’t get any worse, he hit a new low by following through with his dangerous plan to shut down the government.

This government shutdown is Washington at its worst. McConnell has abandoned middle-class families across our Commonwealth, and our nation, in order to pursue an extreme partisan agenda.

Americans are being turned away from their jobs and sent home without the pay they rely on to support their families, simply because McConnell would rather risk the economic future of our country than work towards reasonable compromise."
