14. Sounds like the "insurance" they offered my son

He just started a job and the insurance offered was about that cheap, and came with a big (no doubt mandatory) disclaimer that it did not meet the standards of ACA. It was spectacularly worthless - I think we figured out that the only way you come out ahead is to have covered expenses in a pretty narrow window, like between $750 and $1200 or so. On the low end he'd have paid more for the premium than he'd receive in benefits, and at the high end the coverage just gives out.

Fortunately he can stay on parental policies for up to 5 more years...
