7. You know, the type that commits this type of murder really doesn't pick up on

signals very well. It's possible that the passage of time made a murder conviction impossible. It also might have been easier to secure a Southern jury verdict.

I don't know enough of the facts. But it looks like the judge did the right thing at sentencing.
