(12,496 posts)When someone dies and is under a doctor's care, most of the time an autopsy is waived. Since he died in the hospital, it is likely that he might have been treated for whatever was wrong. I would suggest a heart attack. I was 42 when I had two heart attacks, and as a woman, that was REALLY unusual. Men in their younger years will often have heart attacks--depending on how conscientious that person has been about their health, whether they've smokes or were drinkers, exercising or not--all these things contribute to an early death.
Perhaps one good thing might come out of this if it was a heart attack: it could raise the awareness of early heart disease and the need to take care of one's self ALL your life, not just when you think it's necessary. And a lot of people don't realize that high cholesterol is often inherited, so people should get tested early.
