Just remember where a lot of that campaign money for republican candidates is coming from. Even for some democrats, I suspect.
While I admire the President's efforts, even he cannot take on the oligarchy. Even if he pulls it off, I suspect we'll see a further rise in the price of gas. One thing to ponder.. what happens when it hits five dollars a gallon or more Nation-wide? Most Countries have been paying more than this for a long time, of course, in many of the developed Nations they have decent public transportation so it balances out somewhat.
