Cab fares are regulated and metered so why would there even be a discussion on fare? Was the cabbie attempting to gouge? And the police officer could hardly be out cold and also administering CPR or shooting the fireman for that matter. It sounds like somebody thinks there is a need to embellish the story. Why? And if the fireman was fleeing on foot why would he then stop and engage the police officer. I'm not attempting to say who is right and who is wrong, only that so much of this makes no sense. I presume they will check the fireman for drugs in his system as that is about the only thing that could explain some of this and even then it is a weak fit.
