Classic though. Give the reason as something cloudy like "insufficient votes on the commission" for now. And then delay an explanation about the actual reasoning behind that decision. So that down the road they'll pick a convenient time when the media's plate is chalk full with other stories and release some short release that will be buried quickly. If anyone calls them on it if it is as hollow as we suspect, they can say "that was a long time ago, its over, nothing we can do about it anyways"
