State can't keep the UN from accrediting her (though, ultimately, we could always PNG her).

State has said (correctly IMO) that her new full immunity does not apply retroactively, but what they're not mentioning is that if the UN has accredited her as a diplomatic agent (and the US has no say in that) then even though she's not criminal immune, she can't be arrested. We can ask her to attend the trial (I doubt she will), but we can't then put her in jail if she is found guilty, as long as she holds a sufficient UN accreditation.

Now, a question I'm finally seeing people in India ask is this: since Bharara told the Indian embassy in Washington and the Indian consulate in New York that he was contemplating criminal action against her (this is a standard courtesy) in September, meaning they have had four months to adjust her status and did nothing until after the arrest. Why not? He told the Russians about the Medicaid scam investigation, and they removed everyone they couldn't upgrade, which is why he can't make any arrests there.
