and China have helped them develop it. Russia has helped Iran develop theirs as well. We have defense systems to intercept such rockets/bombs/missles and I don't know of anyone in the military community who think N Korea has a weapon advanced enough to escape detection and intervention. Not even close, in fact.
IDY if you remember N Korea testing a rocket. They had one that went right into the ocean. They launched another (they said they were putting a satellite in orbit, but everyone thought they were lying) that was successful. At that time, we sent some super aircraft that goes into space to have a little look-see at what NK was up to. Whatever they launched didn't seem to concern us too much.
