OK--now I know what I'm dealing with, here. You're just making stuff up.
Why India Still Allows Marital Rape
.....
There is no law which allows us to press charges against our husbands, she says.
Under Indian law, marital rape is not a crime. This places India in the company of a handful of countries, including China, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In the wake of the gang rape of a 23-year-old woman last year, India last week strengthened its sexual assault legislation. But despite calls from activists, a man who rapes his wife cannot be punished under the countrys laws.
Whether to criminalize marital rape was widely debated in India ahead of last weeks vote in Parliament.
Criminalizing marital rape was also among the suggestions of the Verma Committee, a three-member panel appointed to suggest amendments to Indias sexual assault laws. The government rejected this proposed change, leaving it out of the draft bill it then presented to Parliament.
A panel of lawmakers who opposed the move argued it has the potential of destroying the institution of marriage, according to a report submitted to Parliament earlier this month.
If marital rape is brought under the law, the entire family system will be under great stress, adds the report.
Lawyers and womens rights activists have sharply criticized the decision to leave marital rape out of the penal code.

This shit is entrenched, it's been going on for decades in the modern era, but in reality, centuries.
