I hate to be a wet blanket, but this candidate has some following too. I don't know what party she is running for, but I have seen her campaign materials. She is very well known in the area because she is a writer, author of the Course of Miracles, which is pretty popular and founder of Project Angel Food. I haven't read her books.

There may be other candidates, so don't get too excited too soon. Marianne Williamson has quite a following in LA. I don't have a favorite at this time, but I am just saying not to get your hopes up for Sandra Fluke because that is going to be a hotly contested seat.
Waxman can't really be replaced. He has so much seniority and therefore so much influence and power. We will miss him. (I don't live in his district.)
