anyone noticed a term being thrown out there recently, called "Evangelical Catholic"? I have heard it twice recently.
The goal is because the Church is getting smaller, loosing power as well as having its "dirty laundry" aired, Pope is attempting to combine the more radical people he can pick up from the religious Right and bring them into the flock so to speak. He is trying his damnedest to merge the two theologies. It is also evident on his attacks upon the head of the Church of England.
He is desperate to hold any control he possibly can. He is ruining what "good" there is in the Catholic Church at this point I fear.
