13. So all of the nasty stuff is pretense that the members do not believe, yet they accept the hatred

and bigotry espoused toward others and instead of standing up with those attacked to say 'we are with you, we reject those hateful teachings' they far too often beg for 'patience' for the hateful messages of their leadership. They do as they please and ignore the sermons but expect others to endure verbal abuse and libels from their leadership.
Not sure if folks understand this, but when you say 'When our leadership attacks your family using our faith and dogma as a weapon, understand that we don't believe the dogma nor follow the faith' that is the very opposite of comforting, it makes it worse that folks expect others to endure abuse over something they do not even believe nor honor nor follow in their own lives.
Every Catholic who rejects the bullshit should be standing with LGBT and Pro Choice people, flipping off the hierarchy, they should not be begging us for mercy and long suffering endurance toward their hate mongering clerics.
Funny how folks think this is an excuse for the ongoing bigotry and opposition to choice and equality when all it does is add to the burden of guilt on each who allows the bigotry to go unanswered.
It's not the bigots that bug the believers, it's those who point out the bigotry.
