I'm in Northern Ca. SF Bay area - So, I haven't heard of her either. But apparently she's fairly well placed, with powerful backers. I don't know much about Lieu either for that matter, but just did a quick search and immediately linked to an article reporting an anti-NSA bill he introduced which is a point in his favor as I'm concerned.
But I quickly discovered that it was Wendy Greuel who needs to be looked at more closely.
