It's the only major work about sex that avoids the word "sex." No, instead it calls it "the marriage act," as though it's the only thing married people do. No, no hang-ups about sex there.

This an indication of the problem with the Catholic leadership. The Catholic hierarchy is a creepy boys' club, mostly for men who never got out of their latency period and who have taught themselves all their lives to handle sex only with HazMat suits on, and that doing so entitles them to have authority over the us lesser beings. They'll hide the attitude in twisted language, but that's basically the way they see it.

That's the mentally healthier ones. Every one knows about the others, who have a reason to hide their damaged, perverted sexuality in a celibacy "cover story" and who find the sense of entitlement convenient. They fit right in with the other freaks, and can expect that their stunted brethren will oblige them, because for the latter pedophilia is as morally wrong as a blow job between adults, married or not.

Those are the self-tormented phonies have deluded themselves into believing they're morally superior, and it's they're right and duty to guide all of humankind to heaven by telling us what to do and collecting a fee for it. Further, they've convinced themselves that it's the only thing preventing God's wrath from smiting us.
