I love Schweitzer and Davis, but am not a fan of guns. Yet as a progressive I can acknowledge their limits based upon the states they come from. In Brian's case, can he transition to the national stage with a gun policy that makes sense for his kind of state and areas like Chicago, where guns are a plague?

The Wild West was tamed when towns demanded that guns be checked in at the town's borders.
