18. I Think That People Found Their Sanity in the Voting Booth

I've been living in Las Vegas for 10 years. In the time running up to that election, it seemed like every other car on the road had pro-Rethuglican and anti-Harry Reid bumper stickers on their cars & trucks. Even I despaired that Sharon "Obtuse" Angle would win.

Funny thing, though: within a week after that election day, not only did all those bumper stickers disappear, so did most of the generally reichwing ones as well. Now I see very few proclaiming their allegiance to hate radio, websites, PACs, or anything else. In a way it's too bad - it's harder to tell when there's a crazy in the next lane.
