However consider the words of the late Nevada State Senator Bill Raggio, who was her Republican primary election opponent:

"They nominated the only person in Nevada that couldn't beat Harry Reid"
Harry Reid won by his largest margin, and for him, they are really close, mostly due to those unfortunate statements caught on tape while addressing her most TeaBaggerist supporters.
A warning to Bagger Nutjobs that run for office. No matter how crazy you have to get for your Trailer Park Bubbas fired up, someone else is listening to what you say and taking it seriously. Then in the General election you will have to see those dumb things you said played over and over.

Picture her future candidacy as stranded fish flopping around on the beach in Lake Tahoe, gasping for publicity.
