Right-wingers and non-voters get the government they deserve--foul water, filthy air, contaminated food caused by special interest-inspired budget cuts to food-safety programs, financial ruin caused by securities fraud committed by unregulated financial speculators, massive student debt hobbling economic recovery, and federal courts packed with corporation-friendly judges more than willing to hand both consumers and small investors the s#!t end of the stick when they see redress.

Right-wing voters remind me of American folk-myths about live lobsters dropped into a cold pot of water slowly brought to a boil. Right-wingers will stay in the water 'til they're plucked out and served with trimmings; in real life (not in folk-myth), lobsters, at least, have the good sense to climb out from under the cooking-pot's lid and make a break for freedom.
