I stumbled upon the invisible children video. This man and his organization are
trying to stop a horrible man, Joseph Kony, in Uganda who is kidnapping, torturing and forcing
children (as young as 12) to join his army and kill others. Some of these children
have been forced to kill their own parents. These children are traumatized.
This entire campaign is Internet-driven by young 20-somethings. It has grown
and it is a testament to how "WE THE PEOPLE" can rise up and affect change.
In fact, if I'm not mistaken, this group was the impetus that caused the Obama
Administration to send the 100 Americans into Uganda to help.
This group is very organized, internet-savvy and they are making headway.
They are growing and becoming powerful. They have a huge national
event "Light up the Night" that is planned for April 20, where many volunteers
in towns/cities from all over the US--will paper Kony "wanted posters" in an
effort to make him a household name--so something will be done.
I'm not saying that he didn't do these things. It sound like he was drunk in public, but
it is incredibly suspicious--the timing of all of this.
Did something negative happen to the organization or did they have a setback in their
efforts? Did something stressful happen that caused a total breakdown?
I bet there is more to this story. Again, not saying that he didn't do these things--but
you tend to wonder about these things during this day and age--when bucking the
system and protesting loud enough to change American foreign policy--is viewed
as "out of line" by many elites in control.
I look forward to hearing the rest of the story.
