animal flesh that has been "sanitized", supposedly making it "safe", and then is reincorporated. I've read it is product that may have been dropped on the floor, etc.

I noted the article didn't say anything about Pink Slime. It's been in the news cycle quite a bit recently. Seems an editorial oversight to neither confirm or deny its existence in the listed products.
