In reply to the discussion: Former CIA director: Sen. Feinstein is too ‘emotional’ to investigate torture [View all]JDPriestly
(57,936 posts)19. Torturing people is a very emotional thing to do.
Hayden sounds like a cold-hearted sadist. Jeffrey Dahmer, anyone?
Reading stories of people undergoing torture, suffering from torture would make me very emotional too. It would make a normal person with a normal amount of empathy emotional.
Hayden needs to look at himself.
On the other hand, Feinstein could find better ways to express herself. Some of the other members of the committee have.
Also, from an interview I saw that featured Cheney, it sounds like he is going to rely on an advice of counsel defense if indicted or even challenged.
But he may have to prove that he relied on the advice of counsel in good faith. What a travesty of justice.
