9. There are many who believe that

Whales and Dolphins are intelligent creatures, maybe even as intelligent* as humans. IF so, it would be a crime to consume them and we certainly don't need to kill off an already endangered species. Whales were once used as oil, but no longer needed for that, as there are other fuels. Japanese don't need to feed school children whale meat, as most of them don't like the taste, and besides there are other sea food much better to eat.

To kill whales is a stupid (Baka) endeavor either way. Its not necessary and most countries have stopped hunting Whales. Japan has tried to skirt the international law by claiming its for Scientific reasons, but they don't seem to be doing any legitimate research and the Whale remains are going towards food, that is neither wanted nor required. Just my opinion.
