We know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the seabed of the Indian Ocean. Combine that with the currents, numerous storms-- 2 cyclones, if I recall correctly-- and combine that with the length of time it took to define the ' search arc', refine that vast area via pings, etc., and it's not so surprising that nothing's been found yet.
