5. They "do not require crimmal background checks"?

I am confused.

Today, any adult who wants to join Scouting must pass a criminal background check,

they would remove the leaders, but did not turn the info over to law enforcement.

Failure to report a crime of this type is a crime in many jurisdictions. And the actions of the BSA (and the Catholic Church) would arguably rise to the level of conspiracy to obstruct justice, obstruction of justice, and accessory after the fact, if we had any prosecutors with the spine to take on such organizations.

I am glad that the BSA is cleaning up its act. However, it is still a homophobic/bigoted organization and thus bears careful watching.
