She probably didn't think that it was anything serious. She has plenty of female staffers who would have stayed with her if asked, first one in line would have been Huma (Tony Weiner's wife).

I've heard that it also took a bit of convincing from the doctors to get her to agree to an MRI. Although she had completely passed out, hit her head and was having dizzy spells; she pooh-pooh'd the whole thing and didn't think that it was serious. Thank goodness the doctors insisted on an MRI, not only did she have a concussion, but a follow-up MRI revealed a clot in the brain. Without treatment, the clot could have killed her.
