Another thought came to me. Politics. The Catholic Church is beginning to expand rapidly in Africa. If the pope
does know about the persecutions of the LGBT going on there, he could be moving very carefully so as not to offset this recent gain made in Africa. If so, it is a cowardly thing to do. Evil is evil, and should be stopped. I am just guessing, of course. I just don't know if politics is playing a role. Let me point out that it was Francis who was the first pope to begin trying to soften the stiff attitude of the Catholic Church towards LGBT. Wasn't he the one who said, "Who am I to criticize........?" It doesn't make sense for him, of all
people, not to come to the defense of LGBTs being persecuted in Africa.
I'd like to know more of what's really going on before I make any judgment.
