The metal detectors are usually off, the screening is amazing (wand from, wand back, no pat down) and the screeners at the videos are usually sound asleep.

Even after Kunming, nothing changed really. If this happens in Beijing, watch it change. If some powerful CCP member's relative is hurt or killed, expect draconian measures. But it's just normal people and they are expendable here.
