9. It may be that the oligarchs who have purchased into both parties now

have decided it's time for a Republican this time.

The incessant bashing of Democrats by the Third Way in our party, and their ostentatious support of even the most predatory policies coming out of Washington, make me wonder if that's not the real goal.

It's not as though the major policies change anymore depending on which party is in power. Both parties are ramming through a corporate agenda. What changes, and what they seek to manage, is the quality of the opposition they will face. There's a lot of rumbling and anger out in the country, and they may have decided it's time for a change.

Depending on which corporate assaults they plan to ram through next, they will decide which party they can most effectively dupe into circling the wagons around their predation, and which party's opposition they'd rather face.
