but I would defend my family against an intruder who invaded my home, and if they have the balls to invade an occupied home, then I can assume the worse and be ready to take appropriate action to keep my family safe, if the intruder ends up getting hurt or killed due to their actions, that's too bad for them.

I and my family have no duty to retreat from our own home because someone saw fit to invade my home while we're there, that's the core of the Castle Doctrine and I fully support it.
