6. There's an unfortunate precedent

Would really like to know why, once this country gets into any kind of war, we are then stuck with troops stationed abroad in perpetuity. Not what they're talking about here but I think it comes from the same mindset. And if Islam collectively decided they've had it with their own extremists and suddenly decided to clean house and get rid of extremist groups like al Qaida and Boko Haram (wishful thinking, I know) what justification would they come up with to continue the war on terror? Because it's a virtual guarantee that many in Washington would be arguing for it.
