Lets cut to the chase, shall we? We know that nations with large populations are emerging and demanding their share of the natural resources. Oil is the key to economic autonomy in the USA if it is controlled by the government. The right wing republicans are the "speculators" behind these spikes as are some of us. Those of us who hold stock in these oil giants are profiting from this "robbery at the pumps."

Tapping into the Strategic Oil reserve could put a damper on speculation. However, when the oligarchs make international deals
to keep the price of oils high for the purpose of defeating Obama, what can you do?

The most viable option is to Nationalize oil and all refined oil products that originate here. If that is socialism, so be it.
