That's what I took from this.

"Really - we sent 6 guys to their doom looking for this dude?"

No Way...

I'm sure six guys were killed in the weeks following Bergdahl's disappearance/capture...but I doubt there was much of an attempt to find him beyond the first few hours of his disappearance.

Patrols went on as usual. "Keep an eye out for..."
