This is about distorting reality so the U.S. can get its hands on Venezuela's oil, unimpeded. Instead of backing a coup like the U.S. did in 2002, we're now just stirring up shit indirectly, which pretty well describes most of U.S. foreign policy of the last 70+ years or more.
