I had searched Youtube for videos of the attack and, surprisingly, found two videos documenting that the synagogue was well "defended", so to speak, by hundreds of Jewish citizens standing in front of it and singing the Marsellaise - but no indication whatsoever that an actual attack was taking place. OTOH there are many videos and recordings of news reports on YouTube documenting that a major riot had taken place on that day in Sarcelle. There is video of a number of youths demolishing a bus or streetcar station, for instance, battles between police and rioters on the streets, burning cars, tear gas in the air etc.
So there must have been scores of people with recording devices all over the place and near the synagogue, but no documentation of an attack on a synagogue.
That's why I'm curious if you have better information. The article in the OP didn't provide any detail, no description whatsoever.
I'm wondering if the headline is a reference to the reports about the synagogue in the rue de la Roquette in Paris, just as the prime minister may be saying "what happened in Sarcelle" (major riot) is unacceptable, attacks on synagogues (such as in Paris) are unacceptable. So, you see, I don't "question the veracity" of any report - there is no report here about an attack on a synagogue. But maybe you can cite one, direct me to something that had you so totally convinced as you apparently are that such an attack occurred?
