3. Why is it ok for Zimmy to SYG, but not for Trayvon to do so?

Serious question. Does it only matter because of who is left alive?

Florida statute 776.013(3) says: (a) person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.

Since Trayvon met this requirement, seems he was killed unjustly (just looking at this bit of the statute). Didn't he have the right to SYG, etc? Or can both people in a fight fall under this statute? I guess that is what they mean in this article. Even if you are the instigator.

I really don't understand how this can be legal as it seems to say anyone can do anything to anyone else.
