“Look, we’d better realize here that the United States itself is in tremendous long-term danger, I think, and the consistent obstruction of the Republicans and their lack of cooperation in Congress, the absolute lies being spread by Fox News and right wing pundits to people all over this country, the escalation of military hardware to the police forces of this country; the overt racism and bigotry socially, culturally and politically, all these things, it seems to me, are far greater long-term threats to the United States than even those dreadful characters over there in Syria or Iraq beheading people," Buchanan should have said.
