I am reminded of Molly Ivins' comment after Buchanan's "Culture War" speech at the Republican convention in 1992, that it probably sounded better in the original German.
Buchanan claims to be a Catholic. Buchanan, who called Francisco Franco a "personal hero", seems to have missed all of Jesus's talk about loving your neighbor. He also ignores Catholic social teaching.
