For classical music's drop here
I do not believe there is any one group to point to as much as accept it is just progression with out labeling it the result of immigration recently by non Europeans . Plus I am going to guess that 1% includes a lot of immigrants!

10 years ago the lament would have been African American influences on music trends which are not white but still American as Apple pie

Might want to look to the post WW II 50 years' white buying majority who failed to introduce
an appreciation of fine arts to their American born children or never had it themselves but recent furners are an easier target I guess now.

FYI not white not American but sales are booming elsewhere and it is being carried on for the future so no panic about the survival of classical music unless you are xeno like Pat

More profoundly, classical music executives believe that the art form is being increasingly marginalized in the West by a sea of popular culture and new media.

Fewer young American listeners find their way to classical music, largely because of the lack of music education, which was widespread in public schools two generations ago. As a result, many orchestras and opera houses are struggling.

China, with an estimated 30 million piano students and 10 million violin students, is on an opposite trajectory. Tests to enter the top conservatories now attract nearly 200,000 students a year, compared with a few thousand annually in the 1980s, according to the Chinese Musicians Association.

Despite classical’s deserved reputation as the whitest of genres, Asian attendance rates match or surpass the national average up through the 45- 54 age range. To put it one way, the younger the classical audience gets, the more Asian it becomes. To put it another, the only population that is disproportionately filling seats being vacated by old people dying off is Asians
