125. Might Not Be Trump's Course

A number of buildings and golf courses with Donald Trump's name on them are not actually owned by Donald Trump. Trump lends his last name out to people for a fee. I guess these people think the Trump name is a bigger draw than their own name. In the condo business there seems to be a number of people who are willing to fork over large amounts of money because they think a building is owned by Donald Trump. A few years ago I saw a story about a female senior citizen who lost a six-figure retirement because she invested in what she thought was a Trump owned and developed condo unit in Mexico. The company that owned the condo unit ran out of money and then it came out that Trump did not own the condo unit. Even though Trump's name was on the building he and his daugther claimed to have not had anything to do with the development and that the developer had used Trump's name without his consent.
