In reply to the discussion: Three Afghan Soldiers Visiting Cape Cod Have Gone Missing [View all]"Three soldiers from the Afghanistan National Army visiting Cape Cod, Massachusetts, for a military exercise have gone missing, according to the U.S. National Guard. The National Guard in Massachusetts says they believe at this time there is no threat to the public."
That is why they are there.
Now if you want to know specifically why cap cod it doesnt say but there are alot of military installations in the area so its hardly surprising that they would use them for military training exercises.
