You sir, are correct.they had been looking for a reason for a long time to attack Iraq,this gave them the opportunity to use it as reason,the segway from Afghanistan into Iraq,note how fastg they got everyhting moved there? it was premedidated for years.
In fact Israel gave them alist of Arab countires that they wanted us to make regime changes in years ago,becuse Israel deemed them as enemies,I was on a site called 'Path to freedom'Which had a lot of Anti Castro cubans and was born during the kid Elian Gonzale affair.and we took dibs on what country would be attacked first.the list that Israel gave the US was.Iran,Saudi Arabia,Libya,Syria,Sudan,and Yemen,but most of us thought the first country would be 'IRAN,because they were our number one enemy at the time,but as we can see later things changed,we encouraged Saudia Aarabia to be a friend instead of an enemy because of their oil,and to help them keep their anti-Israel rant under wraps,they were also able to get Libya to do the same, but Sadam was supporting the families of Palestinians who were killed by the conflict with Israel,that moved Iraq up to our number one enemy slot.
So the list was now down to five.But after many overt lies,and tries to get a war going on ?Iraq,it did not get any where until 9 11,which was their golden opportunity to get their war on.
Rmember we gave saddam all the material and helped him in the Iran/Iraq war even when we knew he gassed Kurds and Iranians.
Seems like many people also forgot we supported Osama,the taliban,and,al Quida,against Russia.
