38. We also saw the preparations for war

For a week before 9-11 the sky was filled with contrails, just as it was for two weeks leading up to Desert Storm. There would be 8 or 9 planes flying overhead and about twenty fading contrails at any time of the day, and probably at night. A few days were obscured with clouds but the activity was the same before and after. It was so obvious to me that on Monday, 9-10, I told a friend that we were going to war, probably in the ME and probably within a few weeks. I showed him the sky full of contrails and said there's nothing going on now to justify a war so I bet within a few weeks there will be a major terrorist attack somewhere.

There was an official explanation for the troop movements. The US was conducting a massive multinational war games exercise in the Middle East.
