Unfortunately, a certain type of person, many of them males, think that having compassion and caring about others marks them as sissies. They reject liberal or progressive policies because of a fear that they will be looked upon as weak, and so they attempt to create a persona of the macho man type. Fortunately our Constitution was written by enlightened individuals, participating members of the Age of Reason, and thus wrote the phrase, the common good into our primary document. Soplice
