10. Let me get this straight, he is sooo well paid by the U or the boosters

that he fixes games to make more spendin' money? Signs autographs, risking his scholarship and place on the team, which like it or not, is his job interview for the pros, all for a little cash even though he makes bank from the boosters? He has to steal some crab legs for dinner with his girl because he cannot spend that cash he gets from the U on seafood, it is prohibited under the rules of "paying the jocks" doctrine?

Have athletes been paid in the past? Yes, derrrr, are they still, maybe, probably, but the burden is on you if you claim that Winston is being paid. Prove it.

The reality is that these athletes are getting the short end of the stick. Schools and corporations make bank off of their talent and likenesses and putting their logos all over them, but give them some spending cash and the kid gets fucked.

And before you say it, they cannot work and cannot be rewarded for their expertise, like other scholarship recipients can, they are poor and remain that way until they leave school. They are required to spend massive amounts of their time working and competing their asses off on a football team. This ain't Pop Warner, this shit counts and if you do not perform you are done.
