The amount we have learned about comets, flying to comets, landing on comets, taking selfies of comets, and generally the level of enthusiasm at an endeavor not involved in killing each other has made it all worthwhile. Think about how hard this must have been to accomplish.

Even on the very day that Kim Kardashian was trying to "break the internet", more people were watching the lander than were watching her. That alone helps to restore my faith in humanity.
