Democratic support for $1.1T spending bill wavers

5. I think the Republicans are trying to get the Democrats to shut down the government so we will

take the same hit in popularity they took a couple of years ago. The gov't runs out of money tomorrow. By doing this the Dems have two impossible choices. Pass the bill and alienate their voters, plus if a Dem legislator signs it it will be a major campaign ad for the Repubs in 2016, or let the gov't shut down.

If the Dem legislators don't sign the budget the Republicans are probably counting on the fact that they own the press to make sure the American people don't know the truth. They're right. If the Dems don't sign the budget the average American won't know it is to protect them from having to bail out the banks for derivatives again.
